This hi-tech SK75 Dyneema synthetic fiber stores less kinetic energy and will not recoil with as much force as steel, and if it breaks, it can be repaired in the field, plus it floats in water. There’s less chance of injury since it’s free of wire splinters or burrs, and it won’t fray, kink or curl due to its high flexibility and low weight.
Designed with a stainless steel thimble and protective sleeve, the 38-foot by 15/64-inch synthetic winch rope is designed to be used with an aluminum hawse fairlead.
