Wes Schroeder

Wes Schroeder began racing Kid Karts in 2013 at the age of five with the Ohio Valley Karting Association at his home track, G&J Kartway, in Camden, Ohio. For three years he learned the basics of competitive racing in a non point’s, fun environment. In 2016 Wes advanced to the Yamaha Rookie class, winning one feature and finishing second in the series point standings. The following season Wes raced in two classes, finishing second in the Sportsman Briggs and Stratton LO206, and fourth in the Sportsman Yamaha, with two feature wins. 2018 was a breakout year for Wes, winning 14 features and a championship title between both the Sportsman Yamaha and Sportsman LO206 classes. In 2019, the Ohio native won two series championships at the Ohio Valley Karting Association along with multiple other awards throughout the year including Asphalt Kart Driver of the Year and two Fastest Lap Awards. In total Wes competed in 37 events winning 18 and finishing runner up in 14 additional events. Away from the track, Wes enjoys bass fishing, indoor soccer and playing the euphonium, while maintaining his honor roll status at Liberty Bible Academy.
