For the second weekend in a row Kaique Pacheco went 3 for 3 however this time he was the only rider to do so, capturing his 1^st event win of the season.  Pacheco was 4^th in round one, 8^th in round 2 on a Re-Ride bull and 3^rd in the event championship round and earned 126 points.  With 226 points in two weeks Pacheco has improved 9 more positions to currently 3^rd in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 301.50 points.  The event win was Kaique’s 53^rd career PBR sanctioned win (27^th at the PBR – UTB elite level), his 90.50 pt. score in round 3 was his 41^st 90 point ride of his career (22^nd in the UTB) and he has currently covered 6 consecutive bulls.  Kaique has previously ridden a career best 9 straight bulls three times in his career, with the last time being October 2018.

Eli Vastbinder was a last minute alternate entry due to another rider’s injury in a mid-week event and he made the most of his opportunity.  Eli rode 3 of 3 bulls, highlighted by a 3^rd place finish in the event championship round, and 3^rdplace overall in the event.  This was Eli’s best finish of the season to date, and he earned a crucial 63.50 points improving to 24^th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 84.00 points.

Briggs Madsen continues to recover from foot surgery without setbacks; it’s still early in the timeline but there is no indication he will need more than the expected 8 weeks before a return to competition.  I’ll continue to update you on his progress leading up to him hopefully competing in Los Angeles, CA February 25^th – 26^th.  Briggs is currently 37^th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.

Cooper Davis went 1 for 1 and was held out of round two for precautionary reasons after he tore rib cartilage Friday night.  I believe Cooper is doubtful to compete in Duluth, and would be week to week after that as to when he can return.  But I will stay in touch if anything changes moving forward.  Cooper finished T – 13^th overall in the event, and earned 15 standings points.  He is currently 3^rd in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 280.50 points.

Cooper failed to convert on his 15 / 15 bucking bull round attempt Friday night.

After riding a couple of practice bulls last week Jess Lockwood informed the PBR competition committee that he is ready to return and will be in the draw this week in Duluth.  He will keep practicing on bulls this week leading up to the weekend.  This will be Jess’s first PBR UTB event since early February 2022 in Oklahoma City.  He was on a PBR Team’s roster (Oklahoma Freedom) for the inaugural season, but couldn’t get healthy enough to come off the Injured Reserve and compete. Kaique Pacheco went 3 for 3 over the weekend, highlighted by winning the event championship round (his 2^nd round win of the season) and finishing 2^ndoverall in the event, his best finish of the season.  Kaique earned 100 standings points and improved to 12^th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 175.50 points.
