Austin Richardson World Finals (Final) 2022 Recap

Austin Richardson was cleared to ride the morning of Day 1 of the finals from his collarbone surgery and he was not able to convert on any of his seven attempts.  He rode past the 6 second mark a couple of times but he couldn’t get to the required 8.  Austin finished the season ranked a career high 11th in the PBR world standings with 549.50 points.

Injuries held him to 18 UTB events (14 regular season, and qualified for four 15 / 15 Bucking Battle rounds).  He won two UTB events (Oklahoma City, Tacoma), had two 90 point rides, and won four event rounds.  He qualified for eight event championship rounds, had five top 5 and eight top 10 finishes.  For his efforts, Austin earned a single season career high $133,145.48 in earnings.

Richardson was drafted in the second round of the PBR Teams Series, 16thoverall by the Austin Gamblers.
