Kaique Pacheco 2019 Arlington Recap

February 11, 2019

Team Brazil collectively went 11 for 18 and won for the second consecutive time defending their Global Cup win in Sydney AUS in June 2018.  Team USA – Eagles went 10 of 18 and fell 72 points shy (or one average bull score) to finish second.  The remaining teams rounded out the five country six team format as follows: Team USA – Wolves went 8 for 18, Team Australia was 6 for 18, Team Mexico went 4 for 18 and Team Canada 3 for 18.  There were no PBR world standings points awarded during the event.  Riders earned money, but not points.

Kaique Pacheco made his return to competition and rode his lone bull of the event Saturday night.  He did experience a little tightness and pulled himself from Sunday’s draw.  Pacheco is a combined 5 for 7 in the three Global Cups he has competed in.  He is still on schedule to make his season debut on the PBR Unleash the Beast tour this upcoming week in St. Louis.

Up Next for PBR’s Unleash the Beast tour: The PBR UTB tour moves to St. Louis, MO for the Mason Lowe Memorial at the Enterprise Center.  The event was recently renamed in honor of eight-year veteran PBR athlete Mason Lowe from Exeter, Missouri, who passed away on January 15 following injuries suffered at a PBR bull riding event in Denver, Colo.
