Kaique Pacheco Nampa 2021 Recap

April 27, 2021

Kaique Pacheco went 3 for 3, the only rider to do so en route to his series leading fourth event win (Arcadia, Glendale, Louisville, Nampa) to date.  Pacheco finished fourth in round 1, and won the event championship round, his fifth round win of the year.  Kaique has ridden a series leading 20 bulls (20 for 32 or 62.5%), 4 of which have come in event championship rounds which also leads the series.  Pacheco’s career-high for event wins is five, which he accomplished during his 2018 World Championship run.  He did not record his fourth event win that season until September 23, 2018.  Kaique is now halfway toward the PBR single-season record for event wins (8). Two-time World Champion Justin McBride won eight events during his 2007 championship season.

Kaique was fifth going into the final round where he selected Chiseled in the championship round draft and for the second week in a row he rode him to victory.

His 3rd 90 – point ride of the season (90.25) and 13th elite series 90 secured the event win and 125 world points.  Also, Kaique entered the Clovis, CA Touring Pro Division event prior to Nampa mid-week, went 1 for 2 to finish fourth and earn 7.5 world points and for the fourth consecutive week remains the number one rider in the world with 778 points.

In his only blemish of the weekend, Kaique failed to ride his 15 / 15 bucking battle attempt Friday night.
