Briggs Madsen continues to recover from foot surgery without setbacks. I’ll continue to update you on his progress leading up to him hopefully competing in Los Angeles, CA February 25th – 26th. Briggs is currently 38th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.
Eli Vastbinder was unable to compete this weekend when he came down with the flu Friday night in market. He couldn’t keep anything down and pulled himself from the draw. Spoke with him this afternoon and while has hasn’t eaten much of anything he is on the mend and will be in Sacramento. Eli fell 2 positions in the PBR UTB world finals standings to 30th, with 84.00 points.
Jess Lockwood did not compete this weekend. He came down with flu like symptoms the day before travelling, including not being able to keep anything down. To be cautious he stayed home last weekend … but he should be able to travel and compete in Sacramento. He’s been to the doctor this morning and apparently the worst is over … or through him. For what it’s worth, know that he did not have COVID. Jess is currently 25th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 102 points.
Cooper Davis was held out of competition once again and remains week to week. When we spoke last week he told me he is very close to making a return, and he will make a mid-week decision on Sacramento. He is currently 5th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 280.50 points.
Kaique Pacheco went 1 for 2 and finished 22nd overall in the event and earned 8 points for the lone ride. He did however convert on his 15 / 15 Bucking Battle attempt Saturday night with 93 points and the round win. Kaique earned 59 points and remains 3rd in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 368.50 points. The round win was his 7th career 15 / 15 win, tied for 2nd most all – time (tied with Jose Vitor Leme) and the 93-point score is the highest recorded score of the season among all riders to date.
Briggs Madsen continues to recover from foot surgery without setbacks; it’s still early in the timeline but there is no indication he will need more than the expected 8 weeks before a return to competition. I’ll continue to update you on his progress leading up to him hopefully competing in Los Angeles, CA February 25th – 26th. Briggs is currently 38th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.
Eli Vastbinder went 0 for 2 and fell 4 positions in the PBR UTB world finals standings to 28th, with 84.00 points.
Cooper Davis was held out of competition this weekend after tearing rib cartilage last week in Chicago. Cooper is week to week with this “minor” injury and I would say that he is doubtful for Indianapolis this coming weekend. He is currently 4th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 280.50 points.
