Cooper Davis Sacramento 2023 Recap

Cooper Davis returned to action after a two-week absence and rode four of four bulls over the entire weekend.  He rode three bulls in the main event highlighted by placing 8th in round 1, 5th in round 2, and 4th in event championship round.  Cooper finished third overall and earned 78.50 points.  This was his second top three finish of the year, and he’s currently in a season high five consecutive bulls covered streak.  Davis also rode his 15 / 15 round bull Saturday night and finished fourth overall in the round, earning an additional 37 standings points.  In total, Cooper earned 115.50 points and improved two positions to third in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 396.00 points.

Jess Lockwood Sacramento 2023 Recap

Jess Lockwood returned to action and went 0 for 2 and is currently 26th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 102 points.

Kaique Pacheco Sacramento 2023 Recap

Kaique Pacheco went 0 for 2 and dropped one position in the PBR UTB world finals standings to fourth with 368.50 points.  Kaique failed to convert on his 15 / 15 round attempt Saturday night.

Briggs Madsen Indianopolis 2023 Recap

Briggs Madsen continues to recover from foot surgery without setbacks.  I’ll continue to update you on his progress leading up to him hopefully competing in Los Angeles, CA February 25th – 26th.  Briggs is currently 38th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.

Eli Vastbinder was unable to compete this weekend when he came down with the flu Friday night in market.  He couldn’t keep anything down and pulled himself from the draw.  Spoke with him this afternoon and while has hasn’t eaten much of anything he is on the mend and will be in Sacramento.  Eli fell 2 positions in the PBR UTB world finals standings to 30th, with 84.00 points.

Jess Lockwood Indianopolis 2023 Recap

Jess Lockwood did not compete this weekend.  He came down with flu like symptoms the day before travelling, including not being able to keep anything down.  To be cautious he stayed home last weekend … but he should be able to travel and compete in Sacramento.  He’s been to the doctor this morning and apparently the worst is over … or through him.  For what it’s worth, know that he did not have COVID. Jess is currently 25th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 102 points.

Cooper Davis was held out of competition once again and remains week to week.   When we spoke last week he told me he is very close to making a return, and he will make a mid-week decision on Sacramento.  He is currently 5th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 280.50 points.

Kaique Pacheco Indianopolis 2023 Recap

Kaique Pacheco went 1 for 2 and finished 22nd overall in the event and earned 8 points for the lone ride.  He did however convert on his 15 / 15 Bucking Battle attempt Saturday night with 93 points and the round win.  Kaique earned 59 points and remains 3rd in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 368.50 points.  The round win was his 7th career 15 / 15 win, tied for 2nd most all – time (tied with Jose Vitor Leme) and the 93-point score is the highest recorded score of the season among all riders to date.
