Kaique Pacheco Louisville 2023 Recap

May 1, 2023

Kaique Pacheco sustained fractures to his Fibula and Tibia mid-way between his knee and ankle when he came off the bull and under his own weight twisted his leg to the point of fracture.  He believes the previous re-ride bull did more damage to his leg as he felt some pain on that last ride.  He is good spirits considering the nature of the injury and its brutal timing.  His first post-surgery appointment is today with Dr. Freemen.  Kaique remains 1st overall in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 980.00 points, a position he has now held for six consecutive weeks.

Jess Lockwood Everett 2023 Recap

April 21, 2023

Jess Lockwood visited with PBR sports med last weekend in Billings.  And while Dr. Freeman inexplicably still has yet to receive his most recent MRI from the pelvis surgeon, upon examination Tandy did rule out Jess’s hips as a source of his pain.  One opinion not ruled out is that Jess may be suffering from Osteitis pubis, a condition in which there’s inflammation where the right and left pubic bones meet at the lower front part of the pelvis.  Osteitis pubis does not require a surgical procedure to remedy.  Since it usually develops from overdoing a particular activity, the key to treating it is rest.  And to specifically refrain from doing the particular activity that caused the inflammation.  He is currently 33rd in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 159 points.
