Eli Vastbinder Eugene 2023 Recap

Eli Vastbinder went 0 for 1 this weekend, failing to cover his first round bull Friday night.  Eli was held out of round 2 for general body soreness as he manages injuries to his riding hand, knee and back.  It’s apparent that he will compete in Los Angeles this weekend.  Eli remains 16th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 210.00 points.

Cooper Davis Eugene 2023 Recap

Cooper Davis went 1 for 3 over the weekend highlighted by placing 2nd in round 2.  Cooper qualified for his 6th event championship round of the season and earned 19.5 world points with a 10th place event finish.  He remains fourth in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 505.50 points.

Kaique Pacheco Eugene 2023 Recap

Kaique Pacheco went 2 for 3 over the weekend highlighted by placing 2ndin the event championship round, and 5th overall in the event.  Kaique earned 50.50 world points and remains third in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 455 points.  In 13 events to date, Kaique is a co-leader of the UTB tour in bulls attempted (32), he is 2nd in bulls ridden with 17, and his 53% riding percentage ranks 7th.  His 90.75 score in the championship round was his 3rd90+ score of the season, also a co – leader in that category.

Briggs Madsen Tulsa 2023 Recap

Briggs Madsen continues to recover from foot surgery without setbacks.  He had his ‘hard cast’ removed last week in his latest appointment and he can now gradually start to put weight on it.  While his return time has been slightly extended, he is now scheduled to return to action mid to late March.  Briggs is currently 48th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.

Eli Vastbinder Tulsa 2023 Recap

Eli Vastbinder broke through for his first career PBR UTB event win, riding to a perfect 3 for 3 unblemished event record and earned 126 standings points.  Eli improved with each round and qualified ride, placing 8th in round 1, 5th in round 2 and 2nd in the event championship round.  His 90.50 score on Tulsa Time to win the event was his 1st 90+ scored ride this season, and first since Nampa ’22.  He has been close to winning in the past; four times placing 3rd with the most recent being Chicago ’23, and was a runner up in Ft. Worth ’21.    Eli improved 15 standings positions and has now comfortably secured his spot on the UTB tour at 16th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 210.00 points.

Cooper Davis went 0 for 2 over the weekend and is currently fourth in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 396.00 points.

Jess Lockwood Tulsa 2023 Recap

Jess Lockwood did not compete this past weekend in Tulsa.  A precautionary MRI late last week showed a potential muscle tear off his previously surgically repaired pelvis.  Upon further review, excess scar tissue is the source of the pain and the next step is for an injection to the area to break up that scar tissue, by Dr. Tandy Freeman tomorrow.  Jess is expected to be, and planning for a return this upcoming week in Eugene.  Lockwood is currently 30th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 102 points.

Kaique Pacheco Tulsa 2023 Recap

Kaique Pacheco was one of three riders to go 3 for 3, and he finished 2ndoverall in the event.  He improved each round placing 11th in round 1, 8th in round 2 and 4th in the event championship round.  Kaique earned 86.50 points and moved up one spot to third in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 455 points.
