Briggs Madsen continues to recover from foot surgery without setbacks; it’s still early in the timeline but there is no indication he will need more than the expected 8 weeks before a return to competition. I’ll continue to update you on his progress leading up to him hopefully competing in Los Angeles, CA February 25th – 26th. Briggs is currently 37th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.
Cooper Davis went 1 for 1 and was held out of round two for precautionary reasons after he tore rib cartilage Friday night. I believe Cooper is doubtful to compete in Duluth, and would be week to week after that as to when he can return. But I will stay in touch if anything changes moving forward. Cooper finished T – 13th overall in the event, and earned 15 standings points. He is currently 3rd in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 280.50 points.

After riding a couple of practice bulls last week Jess Lockwood informed the PBR competition committee that he is ready to return and will be in the draw this week in Duluth. He will keep practicing on bulls this week leading up to the weekend. This will be Jess’s first PBR UTB event since early February 2022 in Oklahoma City. He was on a PBR Team’s roster (Oklahoma Freedom) for the inaugural season, but couldn’t get healthy enough to come off the Injured Reserve and compete. Thank you ALL for your patience.
Kaique Pacheco went 3 for 3 over the weekend, highlighted by winning the event championship round (his 2nd round win of the season) and finishing 2ndoverall in the event, his best finish of the season. Kaique earned 100 standings points and improved to 12th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 175.50 points.

Eli Vastbinder went 0 for 3 and consequently fell outside the top 35. His standing for Chicago is unknown at this time as he is currently 40th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 20.50 points. If he qualifies for Chicago it will be as an alternate competitor.
Cooper Davis went 0 for 2 and was held out of round three for precautionary reasons after he slightly aggravated an old injury in a round 2 buck-off. There are no follow up appointments needed and he has every intention on competing in Chicago this week. Davis remains 2nd in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 265.50 points.
Jess Lockwood passed his final ‘hop’ test late last week and has been cleared for competition from Dr. Freeman. The plan moving forward now is to ride some practice bulls this week to prepare himself to compete in Chicago this upcoming Friday. I will let you know if this plan changes.
