Briggs Madsen Albany 2023 Recap

January 4, 2023

Briggs Madsen underwent surgery last Wednesday to repair his broken foot.  He sustained a compressed fracture competing in the Minneapolis event championship round just above his big toe (requiring 3 screws to stabilize); smaller fractures off of his metatarsals and another off the backside of his ankle.  Neither of the two latter fractures required evasive action.  He is in a soft cast for four weeks, then a boot for the remainder of his rehabilitation.  Of which is expected to take 8 weeks from the surgery date.  I’ll continue to update you on his progress leading up to him hopefully competing in Los Angeles, CA February 25th – 26th.  Briggs is currently 28th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.

Eli Vastbinder Albany 2023 Recap

January 4, 2023

Eli Vastbinder went 1 for 2 and earned an all-important 8.50 points improving to 35th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 20.50 points.  Eli needs to stay inside the top 35 to secure is place on tour and I believe he will not have to rely on an ‘alternate’ qualification for the upcoming event in New York City.

Jess Lockwood Albany 2023 Recap

January 4, 2023

Kaique Pacheco Albany 2023 Recap

January 4, 2023

Kaique Pacheco went 0 for 2 in Albany and is currently 19th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 75.50 points.

Eli Vastbinder Manchester 2022 Recap

December 21, 2022

Eli Vastbinder went 0 for 2 and is currently 36th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 12 points.  The first round of UTB series cuts was this past weekend and Eli finds himself outside the top 35 (guaranteed position for riders inside the top 35) so he will have to wait until the draw comes out before Albany to see if he has qualified to compete.  Know that PBR has been going very deep into the pool of alternate riders so he should qualify based on need alone.

Cooper Davis Manchester 2022 Recap

December 21, 2022

Cooper Davis rode 2 of 3 over the weekend highlighted by sharing the round 2 win with Pacheco, and placing 6th overall in the event.  Cooper earned enough event points, 49.5 to overtake the number one place overall in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 256.50 points.  Davis has opened up the season with four straight top ten finishes, he’s won three of 12 rounds and rode 8 of 12 bulls.

Briggs Madsen Manchester 2022 Recap

December 21, 2022

In the Minneapolis event championship round Briggs Madsen was thrown from his bull and then stepped on afterwards while trying to get away.  At the time he didn’t think much of it until it was getting progressively worse as the week went on.  Ex – Rays revealed a compressed fracture in his foot that may require surgery to repair.  He is getting a second opinion before he opts for surgery, which he was told has a 6 – 7 week usual recovery time.  Briggs is currently 24th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.
