GRANT ENFINGER’S PLAYOFF HOPES GO UP IN SMOKE
“We had a really good ThorSport Racing F-150 tonight. It’s a shame our season came down to a part failure that we had nothing to do with. I definitely share our owner’s frustrations with the parts there under the hood. We haven’t had the best couple of months here, but we’ve had a heck of a season, and a fast Ford F-150 tonight. It just wasn’t meant to be.”

TOP-FIVE FINISH FOR GRANT ENFINGER AT BRISTOL
“Thanks to Jeff Hensley (crew chief), he was able to get us some track position there after the second stage. We weren’t a bad truck when we had the lead. I was tight in traffic, and track position was a premium. I don’t know what I could have done differently on that restart. The 24 was just a little bit better than us on the top side. I thought about taking away the top side, but we weren’t good up there, so I stuck to the bottom because that’s what worked for us. The 24 just flat out nailed that restart and got me. We had a great truck once we got some clean air. I’m really proud of all these guys at ThorSport Racing; Duke and Rhonda Thorson, Champion Power Equipment, Curb Records, everyone that allows us to do this. We’re still alive.”

GRANT ENFINGER FINISHES SEVENTH AT MICHIGAN – CLINCHES REGULAR SEASON CHAMPION TITLE AND A PLAYOFF BERTH
Would you have thought at the beginning of the season, that you would have become the Regular Season Champion?
“Oh, without a doubt. I feel like we can be holding that trophy after Homestead as well. I don’t know that we’ve all the way hit our stride. We’ve stumbled a little bit the last couple of months, but overall we’ve got solid Ford F-150’s that we’re bringing to the track. When we miss it, no one blames each other, we just get in there and dig, and make the most of it, and that was the story this weekend. We were terrible yesterday. Jeff Hensley (crew chief) made some good calls and we had a decent truck today.”
As the Regular Season Champion, do you think you’ve got something for these guys, come Homestead?
“We’ve gotta hit our stride, we’ve gotta peak, and we aren’t doing that yet. I feel like we have the best team out here. This is our third year working together, everyone believes in each other, and I don’t think there is anything we can’t accomplish. I’m thankful for this opportunity. I’m thankful for everyone that has supported me. I don’t think we’re a favorite right now, by any means, but we’re capable of becoming a favorite, for sure.”

THIRD-PLACE FINISH FOR GRANT ENFINGER IN THE 2019 ELDORA DIRT DERBY
Strong run for you at Eldora tonight. What would it have taken to get up there and contend with the 52?
“A little more speed. Stewart (Friesen) was the best one here tonight, other than Briscoe there in the early stages. This was a great night for us. We needed this to rebound our team – the last month hasn’t been good. I’m very happy with the progress we made on this No. 98 Champion Power Equipment Ford F-150 since we unloaded yesterday. We didn’t have the sheer speed on the track, but we did have good drive – Jeff Hensley (crew chief) made some good adjustments. I’m proud of this third-place finish tonight.”

TOP-10 FINISH FOR GRANT ENFINGER AT POCONO
“Obviously, the points are on our mind, but we wanna win a race first, and just haven’t accomplished that yet. Overall, we’ve had really good speed with our Ford F-150’s this year, it was just an off weekend for us – we missed it just a little bit yesterday. I’m very proud of Jeff Hensley, Josh Hankish, everyone on this Protect The Harvest F-150 team. We were junk after second practice yesterday and the guys made something out of it. I had decent lap times, it was just really tough, from an aero standpoint, behind guys. I’d lose my momentum and had some issues around some of the guys. Overall, not what we came here for – not a good finish for us – but not a bad day for us either, all things considered.”
