Silvano Alves

Silvano Alves was born and raised in Pilar do Sul, São Paulo. Early on in his career, Alves scored the 2010 Rookie of the Year. He is one of two riders to win three PBR World Championships, winning in 2011 with a 69 riding percentage, 2012, 2014, and a 2022 PBR Teams Championship for a fourth title. Alves is currently the only rider to win a world title back-to-back. He is the fourth rider in history to reach 500 qualified rides, which is no easy feat. His first qualified ride occurred in 2010 - an 86.75-point trip on Nasty Town.

Silvano Alves rode 2 of 4 bulls, placing 6th in rounds 2 and 4.  It turned out to be a fitting end for the 3-time World Champion as he made it known afterwards that he will retire from the PBR UTB schedule and focus on PBR Teams moving forward.  Silvano finished 6th in the event aggregate, earned $37,000 and 144 standings points.  He finishes his final regular season 22ndin the PBR World standings; a 19-position improvement from the start of the event with 288.50 points.  Alves competed in 3 event championship rounds, had one top 5 finish and four top 10’s.
