If X – Rays allow for clearance the plan is to ride some practice bulls that week to try to be ready for Albuquerque that next weekend. Briggs Madsen underwent surgery last Wednesday to repair his broken foot. He sustained a compressed fracture competing in the Minneapolis event championship round just above his big toe (requiring 3 screws to stabilize); smaller fractures off of his metatarsals and another off the backside of his ankle. Neither of the two latter fractures required evasive action. He is in a soft cast for four weeks, then a boot for the remainder of his rehabilitation.
