TOP-10 FINISH FOR GRANT ENFINGER AT MARTINSVILLE
“Overall, a long, tough day for us here at Martinsville. For whatever reason we didn’t fire off in qualifying or the beginning of the race. I don’t know if I just abused those tires, or if the truck just didn’t like that set of tires, or what – we just didn’t have speed at that point. Finally, when we were able to get that set of tires off, business picked up, but we lost all our track position by then. Ultimately, we were able to salvage a bad day here, and bring home an ok finish. Just disappointed with our performance today. I really felt like we had something to run up front with, and we really didn’t. Overall proud of the guys. Proud of the calls that Jeff Hensley made in the pits in order to salvage what we could out of the day.”

LEARNING CURVE FOR GRANT ENFINGER AT SEBRING
“I can’t thank Ford Performance and Multimatic Motorsprots enough for this opportunity. I was definitely a fish out of water when I got here, but I feel good about the progress Matt (Crafton) and I made this week. Unfortunately, we had to make a couple unnecessary pass-thru penalties – one for running over pit equipment when I initially got in the car – I guess one of the crew guys dropped a radio, and I ran over it – and another to repair damage late in the race. I don’t know exactly what happened going into Turn 7. Looking back, I should have shoved my teammate Ben Rhodes there on the bottom, and went ahead and got by those guys, but he had an engine issue and I thought we could clear him going into Turn 7. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case and I thought we were two wide, and we ended up three-wide, and I got dumped there in the right rear. Not the result we wanted, but we were able to salvage something, and I feel good about our progress going from the back of the pack to mid-pack. Honestly, I gained a ton of experience, and I actually feel comfortable in these cars, even though I know I still have a long way to go.”

GRANT ENFINGER SURVIVES A TOUGH WEEKEND IN LAS VEGAS – RETAINS POINT LEAD
“Overall a tough weekend. We had good speed out of our Champion Power Equipment/Curb Records Ford F-150, it just wasn’t meant to be this time around in Vegas. We still don’t know exactly what happened in practice – we had some electrical issues, and popped a motor early on – so we didn’t get much practice. We qualified good, but obviously had to start in the back because we changed the motor yesterday. It started running hot early in the race, and it shouldn’t have, so we were fighting track position during the first Stage. Due to pit strategy, we got our track position back, but unfortunately a plug wire came off at the end of Stage 2, and we had to make multiple trips down pit road. We worked our way back inside the top-10, in the final laps, but lost a right rear tire there at the end – it had air, just no rubber. So, overall just a tough weekend here in Las Vegas. I’m so proud of everyone for not giving up. I’m thankful Josh Hankish was able to come over the wall and find the spark plug that had come off. We were able to salvage what could have been a terrible day, into just a bad day.”

Kaique Pacheco 2019 Los Angeles Recap

February 25, 2019

Re: Los Angeles – Iron Cowboy presented by Ariat results

This past weekend’s Iron Cowboy event was a progressive-elimination format competition.  Each rider attempted a bull in round one and if successful he advanced to round 2.  If he failed in his attempt he was done for the weekend.  The ‘Major’ event featured a minimum of two rounds and a maximum of five, with at least 25 riders advancing to Round 2. If fewer than 25 riders advance to Round 2, the remaining spots in the draw were filled by the world standings heading into the event.

Kaique Pacheco bucked off his bull Friday night and was done for the weekend.  He is currently 87th in the world standings with 53 points.

GRANT ENFINGER FINISHES A TRACK-BEST THRID AT ATLANTA – TAKES OVER POINT LEAD
“The inside line was definitely important on that final restart. There was no grip on the outside lane tonight, especially on a restart. I’m really proud of our guys, and this third place finish. We were up and down today – led some laps, and got shuffled back. The pit crew did a great job on pit road, and in the end, we came out with a solid finish. I can’t say thank you enough to Champion Power Equipment, Mike Curb, Duke and Rhonda Thorson – everyone that allows us to do this. Also to the all the fans who stuck it out tonight.”

GRANT ENFINGER BATTLES FROM TWO LAPS DOWN TO FINISH SECOND AT DAYTONA
“We had a good practice on Thursday, which is an important part of this deal. We showed up with good speed in our Champion Power Equipment/Curb Records Ford F-150 and man, we made it interesting there at the end. We got in that wreck there on lap 55, went a couple laps down, but never gave up, and all the cautions fell in our favor. All considering, we had good speed, and a good run there at the end. I tried to push Crafton, and felt like I could have gotten around him, but the 16 threw a big time block, and I was going to wreck him if I stayed with it. So, that’s when we got shuffled around, and just couldn’t get a good run coming to the checkers. It was a tough race, but I’m proud of everybody here behind me who helped me fight for this second-place finish tonight.”

If there is more than one ride in the final round (Round 5), then the Iron Cowboy will be the rider with the highest ride score in Round 5.  If there are no rides in Round 5, then the Iron Cowboy will be the rider with the most round points that had competed in Round 5.
