“Overall it was an ok night here for us at Homestead. I appreciate Champion Power Equipment being on board with us for this final race of the season, and appreciate all their support over the years. Really, we wanted to have a better run that this, but ended up eighth. We were decent at the beginning of the race, when we had some track position. We gave it up a little bit, about a third of the way through the race, and we just weren’t great enough to overcome that. We finished eighth, but maybe had about a sixth-place truck there at the end. I’m proud of the effort that everyone put in – everyone really dug deep all year. We know the areas we have to work on. There’s no one big area that we’re down on, we just need to step it up in a few places, and we’ll be a contender.”

“We had a pretty good Jive Communications Tundra. We struggled with track position, and we were a little tight the first half of the race, but the second half of the race, we really came alive. Jeff Hensley (crew chief) made a really good call there at the end to pit under green. We took two tires, and really should have come out second, but we got checked-up behind somebody, and ended up third on the restart. Hensley made another gutsy call to come in and take left-side tires under that last caution. I feel like we had a shot to win there. We got up to second, and started running with the 29 really hard, and just lost momentum. The 16 got to our outside, and I just lost the air, and we got together and tore up the right side. We finished ninth, but we had a shot at it – a little torn-up sheet metal, but we were going for it there at the end.”

Grant Enfinger Race Recap:
Grant Enfinger, driver of the No. 98 Champion Power EquipmentToyota Tundra, made his track debut at Bristol Motor Speedway in Wednesday night’s rain-delayed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) UNOH 200. Starting seventh, under new guidance from crew chief Bud Haefele, the ThorSport Racing driver finished fifth in Stage 1, and ninth in Stage 2. Restarting the final 84-lap Stage from the seventh position, the ThorSport Racing driver muscled his way through traffic, running his fastest lap times of the race with 15 laps to go, and would cross the stripe in the fourth position behind race winner, Kyle Busch.
The solid run was Enfinger’s sixth top-five finish of the 2017 season.
Quote:
“We had a decent restart there at the end, and we really had a good Champion Power Equipment Tundra all day. We weren’t great. The 46 (Kyle Busch) – he’s really good at this racing stuff. He made us all look bad. But a solid run for us. We’ll take it. We need a little bit more, but very, very proud of everybody on this ThorSport Racing team. We had to battle through some adversity this week, but we still got some more to come, so we’ll keep fighting strong.”
