Briggs Madsen Albany 2023 Recap

January 4, 2023

Briggs Madsen underwent surgery last Wednesday to repair his broken foot.  He sustained a compressed fracture competing in the Minneapolis event championship round just above his big toe (requiring 3 screws to stabilize); smaller fractures off of his metatarsals and another off the backside of his ankle.  Neither of the two latter fractures required evasive action.  He is in a soft cast for four weeks, then a boot for the remainder of his rehabilitation.  Of which is expected to take 8 weeks from the surgery date.  I’ll continue to update you on his progress leading up to him hopefully competing in Los Angeles, CA February 25th – 26th.  Briggs is currently 28th in the PBR UTB world finals standings with 40 points.
